Privacy
This page explains what the current Curiosity Compass app sends and keeps when you explore.
Your exploration
When you request recommendations, we send your destination and selected interests to our server and then to OpenAI to research places. Avoid putting private or sensitive information in these fields.
Your API key
If you supply an OpenAI API key, it stays in the current form while you use it. We send it to our server to authenticate your research request with OpenAI. The app does not save it in browser storage or an application database. Starting a new search clears the form.
Research and analytics
The app requests that OpenAI not store the generated response. OpenAI's own data handling policies still apply to requests. The site also uses Plausible Analytics for page usage measurement through our analytics proxy.
Other websites
Recommendation sources open external websites. Those websites apply their own privacy policies. Fonts and the photographs shown on our home page are served from this site.
